Borgo
Born on the hills of Lajatico, Borgo Santa Maura welcomes guests with refined simplicity and understated elegance, blending exclusivity with nature. In each of our residences, time slows down, inviting you to embrace a more intentional and authentic way of living.
Borgo Santa Maura also nurtures organic olive groves, cultivated in harmony with the rhythms of the land. From them comes an extra virgin olive oil that reflects the simplicity and care of an ancient tradition.
More than just a place to stay—it is a way of life.

An intentional way of living, authentic and in harmony with nature

Our story
Borgo Santa Maura is the vision of an Italian family whose life journey has been interwoven with diverse cultures, places, and experiences. After many years abroad, their return to Italy led them to Lajatico—a place of light and harmony they chose to call home.
It is here that Borgo Santa Maura was born, an authentic way of living inspired by elegance and the luxury of simplicity; a hospitality of charm, discreet and essential.
Borgo Santa Maura is a place to reconnect, to regenerate, and to feel at home

Podere Santa Maura
Podere Santa Maura is the family home and organic farm—the heart of our philosophy and the place where it all began. It embodies the values of Borgo Santa Maura: authenticity, harmony with nature, and deep respect for the flow of time.
Podere Totolla
Podere Totolla welcomes up to fourteen guests, offering privacy, designed for wellness experiences and comfort. One of its most captivating features is the large rain-fed pond — a natural ecosystem that hosts both native and migratory wildlife. A place of silence from which to admire the Tuscan sunset, it is ideal for rediscovering time and intimacy.
A residence of refined rural character, blending local tradition with contemporary elegance. The property is currently undergoing restoration.
La Dimora
La Dimora is a historic “Palazzo” located in the heart of Lajatico. Nestled in the tranquility of the Tuscan hills, it welcomes guests with understated elegance in its exclusive suites.
Hidden beneath its foundations lie ancient tunnels carved into the tuff rock—silent spaces where time slows down, creating a setting for private experiences such as wine tastings and art installations.
Just steps away, the narrow streets of the old village open onto workshops, cafés, markets, and events that embody everyday Tuscan life.
The property is currently undergoing restoration.
